gwyneth paltrow's eyeglasses in court, silver metallic onitsuka tiger mexico 66s, and a $5 palm reading.....
10 things i have been thinking about this week
i love the weird transition that spring brings, it almost feels uncomfortable to sit in the in-between (do i wear a jacket? should i impulsively get another tattoo i may regret just because its 70 and sunny? should i put on self tanner despite the fact it will ALWAYS look streaky?). but that’s the beauty of the beginning of spring, everyone timidly getting ready to joyously surrender to well-deserved warmer temperatures.
embrace the weird! open your windows! stop and take a minute to appreciate the tulips, daffodils and cherry blossoms even if it makes you 5 minutes late!
here are 10 weird & random things i have been thinking about this week
the aviator eyeglasses gwyneth paltrow wore to court.. i may or may not have an appointment at warby parker to try on these
these metallic onitsuka tiger mexico 66’s recommended by my dear friend chloe whomst has impeccable taste (as evident below)
speaking of metallics… in an act of resurrecting the neglected relics of my wardrobe i have fallen back in love with these silver metallic leather coach pants i impulsively bought last year
been thinking deeply on jemima kirke’s love/hate listicle for dream baby press- the woman knows her audience
absolutely devoured this excerpt from dolly alberton’s new book of agony aunt style essays, dear dolly. dolly never fails to somehow come into my life and deliver the exact wisdom i need to hear laced with the warmth and humor of an older sister
6. the $5 palm readings by mandy on the corner of spring and elizabeth st… mandy delivered quite a lot of insights for $5!!!!! however, i was offered a ~deal~ to purchase a $60 crystal which would clear my blocked aura and i would be lying if i said i did not heavily consider
7. these sandals from ganni which feel like the perfect shoe for when neither a ballerina flat or a loafer feel appropriate (this may just be a me problem) i love how they don’t take themselves too seriously
8. the @luxurydeptstore instagram account which is the perfect archaeological deep dive into now defunct luxury mall stores
9. popped into santos in LES and saw they were having the dreamiest italian vintage pop up- perfect frilly spring pieces for sipping an aperol spritz at 3pm on a friday
10. this absolute gem of a man sitting next to me at devocion in williamsburg reading and annotating a scholastic edition of “unearthing joy” (may we all)
XOXOXO
